Pros: Fun experience and benefit to students and school Description: -Pharmacists and students of pharmacy -leadership, service, and professionalization -emphasis is not on social activities although that is one aspect -work, time, and commitment -lifelong friendships and networking -leadership opportunities: governing body in the fraternity -community service -national competitions
Phi Delta Chi -Dolder and Nelson would serve as co-advisors To found: -petition, at least 10 students interested in committing to process of start up -if approved, semester’s worth of fraternal education -national officers visit and initiation -charter would be signed as early as the end of this summer - initial information meeting: 5:30 on 1-27-04; details and process to join -one additional meeting following (no set date yet)
General questions: -Has anyone considered Ro Chi (honor’s society)? Both this and Phi Lambda Sigma (leadership fraternity) will be instated here -Will undergrads be allowed to join? Currently undergrad pre-pharm students are allowed to join PILLS and should have access to join fraternities -Can we vote no, but yes next year? This can be delayed until the students feel they are ready to invite these programs in |
