• Membership roster – Students signed roster with local and national organizations

• Remind members that all clubs are governed under PILLS

• Explanation of how to use the PILLS Activity Proposal form

  • Must be filled out to receive approval and funding of organizational activities

   

• Discussion of bi-laws

  • These will be emailed soon

• Elections

  • These will be held in the spring; term begins on last day of class

  • Completed by secret ballot

  • Due to lack of time – there will be no campaigning but candidates can give a short speech prior to voting

• Communication will be by website (once complete), email, and discussion boards

• Expect meetings to be held every other week during the 9:30 am Tuesday professional hour

  • Must attend a minimum of four per semester

  • Liaisons and subcommittee members should make an effort to attend all meetings!

  • We will be having special speakers

    • First speaker will be Tuesday, Sept. 7 from AphA

• Format: Proposals must be completed first and then these can be discussed at the next meeting

• Establishment of the Parking lot – to place ideas to be addressed at a future date

• Group Service Activities

  • Expectations of each member

    • Must attend the entire day to get credit

    • Be professional representatives during the activity

    • Student may complete an individual service activity but must be approved prior to get credit

  • First service project

    • Habitat for humanity 9/25

    • Time and place to be announced

    • Sign-up sheet passed out to members – must sign-up by Friday

    • Chaired by Lauri Saleeby

• Polo and T-shirts

  • Decided on appropriate logos

  • Need an accurate count by end of week – sign –up sheets

  • T-shirt will have official logo on the back - $10 each

  • Polo will be yellow with smaller logo - $30 each

  • Sign-up sheet for size must be completed by Friday

  • Sample shirt will be available this week per Shane Crook

  Question and answer session following the meeting:

• Can members back out of service projects due to location or time conflict?

  • If you have a doubt à don’t sign up!

• Are all projects on Saturdays?

  • Will try to variation on the day of week for projects.

• Any service questions need to be directed to Maria

• AphA ID #’s need to be emailed to Ashley

• Pictures at PILLS events should be sent to Jenn
